The name “Valle de Colchagua” (Colchagua Valley) is a denomination of Chilean origin for wines from such geographic zone. Located approximately 150 kilometers (90 Miles) south of Santiago, you can find numerous microclimates, soil types and rugged slopes, ideals for vine plantations, with a growing number of wine companies, though not necessarily exaggerated, able to produce Cabermet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah, also Carménère and Malbec.

Founded in 1880, Santa Rita Vineyard has become one of the most famous vineyards of Chile, with its star wine “120 de Santa Rita.” Its main house is located in the Maipo Valley at Alto Jahuel, where apart from the vineyard, you can find the Casa Real Hotel and the Andean Museum that possesses a fancy collection of aboriginal art.
